Person Dies After Crashing Into PennDOT Vehicle

A person lost their life in a car crash at 2:05 a.m. on a recent evening. The accident occurred when the driver crashed into a PennDOT vehicle that was blocking traffic early in the morning along I-95 in Tinicum Township.

The vehicle was blocking traffic as police were investigating a single-car accident that had occurred earlier. The PennDOT Ram 550 truck had a large directional light blocking the left-hand lanes while the investigation was taking place. There were no other street lights present in the area, but police stated the truck was very visible.

It is unclear why the driver of a 2025 Nissan Versa did not notice the PennDOT truck while driving in the left lane. After colliding with the truck, the vehicle came to a stop in the right lane facing oncoming traffic.  Rescuers extracted the driver using mechanical methods before taking the individual to Penn Presbyterian Hospital. He later died of his injuries. No other parties were hurt.

Construction and Police Related Accidents

There is no indication that anyone did anything wrong in this situation. However, in some situations, construction trucks, police vehicles, and other emergency equipment could create a hazard for those navigating the area. In all situations, a full investigation is critical, and having your own attorney handle that investigation could be crucial to securing the compensation you deserve.
