What Happened in Atlantic City?

According to authorities, a Millville man shot a gun and then rammed his vehicle into an ACPD cruiser when officers arrived on location to investigate the report of gunshots on Sunday, June 29th, around 3:11 a.m.

Two police detectives arrived in the 200 block of Turnpike Road after they thought they heard gunshots. Upon arrival, the suspect sped at the officers at a high rate of speed, narrowly missing them while they were on foot. The officers then got back into their cruiser, which is when the suspect made a U-turn and rammed their cruiser.

Both officers suffered injuries in the crash. The officers were treated for minor injuries at a local hospital. The suspect was arrested at the scene and faces a litany of charges.
