A 911 call was placed around 9:15 pm on June 3rd for a reported shoplifting incident at the Royersford Target. According to county officials, when police arrived at the store, they attempted to stop a vehicle involved in the theft, which then fled the scene.
The driver of the vehicle lost control and eventually crashed on the 300 block of Ridge Pike. The crash was so strong that parts of the vehicle flew into the second floor of a building across the street from the crash. Two 17-year-old males and a 17-year-old female died in the crash. A 15-year-old male was injured.
