Man Killed on Route 1 in Falls Township

After an accident happens, it is easy to become distracted by trying to figure out what to do. However, doing so can create deadly outcomes. According to police, a driver was struck and killed by another car. The driver left his car after a crash in the northbound lanes of Route 1. The Falls Township Police Department said the incident happened at around 2:25 a.m.

The incident took place at the US Route 13 overpass. Reports indicate that the driver lost control of their vehicle on the overpass. That caused the car to strike a concrete lane divider. It came to a stop in the middle of the highway. The passenger of that vehicle was stepping out of their car when they were then struck by a Lexus ES3 sedan. The victim suffered serious injuries and had to be taken to Capital Health Trenton for care. He died of his injuries.

The Lexus driver did not seek medical treatment. It is unclear if others involved were hurt. Police do not believe drug or alcohol played a role in this accident.
