What Happened in the Broad Street Hit-and-Run?

Police were dispatched around 12:33 a.m. Monday morning, for the report of a pedestrian crash that was a hit-and-run. The scene of the incident was Broad Street and Lehigh Avenue in North Philadelphia. A 60-year-old man was hit at the intersection.

According to an initial investigation, it is believed that the man was trying to cross the intersection against a red light when he was struck by a vehicle that had a green light. The victim was pronounced deceased around 1:08 a.m. at a local hospital.
