On a recent Saturday evening, around 10 p.m., police were called to the scene of an accident that happened on Fries Mill Road between Stranger Avenue and Arlington Drive. According to their initial investigation, a Hyundai Santa Fe was traveling southbound on Fries Mill Road. A Toyota RAV4 was traveling northbound near the same area. That vehicle had a Ford F-150 behind it.
Monroe Township police say that the Hyundai crossed the center line of traffic and struck the Toyota on the driver’s side. That caused the Toyota to spin out of control into the opposite side of the road. That is where it stopped on the shoulder before it hit a Ford Pickup truck head-on.
Police are not sure what caused the initial driver to lose control of the vehicle. However, the Hyundai driver lost their life the following morning from their injuries. The Toyota driver went to Jefferson-Washington Township with non-life-threatening injuries, and a passenger did not need medical care. The Ford pickup truck driver suffered lower-body injuries and was taken to an area hospital.
