Head-On Crash Kills One in Chester County

The North Coventry Township Police Department was dispatched at 1:09 PM Wednesday to the 1200 block of South Hanover Street for the report of a car accident involving two vehicles.

Police reported that a Chevrolet Aveo hit a Jeep Wrangler head-on and then came to rest against a tree off the side of the road. Emergency personnel pronounced a female passenger in the Chevrolet deceased at the crash scene.

Both of the drivers were transported to local hospitals with serious, but non-life-threatening injuries. The victim has yet to be identified as police worked to notify her next-of-kin.
