A fiery crash along the Atlantic City Expressway occurred on a recent Sunday. The incident took place just after the Pleasantville exit heading towards Ocean City. A witness says that they watched a car accident happen right in front of them, just prior to Parkway.
The witness stopped the vehicle and got out to help. Everyone was able to get out of the vehicle, including three children, just before the car caught on fire. That witness, and others involved, are being hailed as heroes for their actions.
What Should You Do After a Car Accident
It is common for car accidents to occur, causing drivers around the vehicle to witness what happened and, in that split second, decide whether to stop and help or keep going. Many people do not stop for various reasons, including not wanting to cause further injury or simply because they worry about the legal ramifications of helping.
However, in the ideal situation, witnesses do stop and offer to help as long as they can do so in a safe manner. This can save a person’s life, and there are laws in place that protect Good Samaritans in situations like this.
