3 Injured in 2 Car Crash in Montgomery Township

A Wednesday evening accident occurred along Route 202 Parkway between Knapp and Welsh Roads. Police report three people were taken to an area hospital with injuries from the two-car crash. The incident, which happened in Montgomery Township, also involved one driver failing a field sobriety test.

According to the news reports available, a black Ford F-150 pickup and a black Mercedes-Benz were involved, both of which came to rest in the bushes just off the parkway after colliding. The pickup was facing the opposite direction of travel once it stopped. Reports indicated that four people were trapped in the pickup but were able to escape.

Fault in a Drunk Driving Accident

Victims of a drunk driver often face serious injuries and financial loss due to the mistakes the intoxicated person makes. Drivers who are under the influence cannot react properly to road conditions and may be more likely to cause serious injury to others because of a lack of focus on the roadway. In most situations, the driver who is intoxicated and makes a mistake to cause an accident is responsible for the injuries and other losses suffered by the victims.

Proving a driver is intoxicated is one thing. Holding insurance companies accountable for fair compensation is more challenging. That is why it is so important to work with an experienced drunk driving accident lawyer if you are in such an accident.
