First responders were called to the scene of an accident near County Line and Allentown Road in West Rockhill Township on Monday afternoon. When they arrived, they found three vehicles in need of auto rescue, including a heavy-duty pickup truck.
Initial investigations found that a white pickup dump truck, a silver SUV, and a red Toyota minivan were involved in the crash. The passenger vehicles came to a stop in a field just off the side of the roadway. The pickup truck came to a stop in a ditch. It is unknown how serious the injuries were immediately after the accident. All vehicles had significant damage.
How Investigations Have to Happen
In a three-car accident, there are numerous factors that likely played a role in the accident. To determine fault, officers must consider a wide range of evidence to identify who made the first mistake that caused the accident resulting in injuries. This may start with gathering witness statements, collecting evidence at the scene, and finding skid marks. It may also involve using nearby surveillance cameras and accident reconstruction services to clarify fault.
If you are involved in an accident like this, where more than one party could be at fault, hire an attorney to protect your rights and the value of your case.
