A tragic accident occurred in Dennis Township on an early Sunday morning, according to state police. A driver operating along Route 47 crossed the center line at around 5:20 a.m. The driver went off the road and then struck an unoccupied construction vehicle that was parked nearby. Why Drivers Cross the Center Line

In an accident like this, victim families want to know what happened to put some understanding behind the question of “why.” It is not known in this case what caused the incident. However, many factors could have contributed.

One of them is the early time of the day. The driver may have been fatigued after an overnight shift or may be heading somewhere after just waking up. Early morning accidents like this can happen for multiple reasons, including the driver falling partially asleep behind the wheel.

Other potential causes of such accidents include speeding, an animal entering the roadway, swerving to avoid other drivers, or losing control over a vehicle that is not properly maintained. Drivers may also face a medical emergency or be distracted behind the wheel.
