Baltimore Pike Was Closed for Hours Following a Fatal Crash

The Baltimore Pike remained closed for hours after one person was killed and another was critically injured this past weekend as authorities conducted an investigation. Local fire departments, EMS personnel, and Pennsylvania State Police were dispatched to the Baltimore Pike, near Painters Crossing, on Saturday at approximately 1:40 PM, in response to a report of a serious crash.

First-arriving personnel found two people unconscious, and CPR was immediately initiated. Paramedics discontinued CPR on one victim and requested that the medical examiner be sent to the scene. The second victim was flown to an area hospital by JeffStat 3.
