A road rage accident caused the death of a motorcyclist, according to the District Attorney’s office report. A man riding a motorcycle on Route 22 through Easton lost control of the motorcycle. Police reported the motorcycle rider tried to grab hold of a car’s mirror when he lost control.
The accident occurred at around 12:45 on a Saturday afternoon on Route 22, between 4th and 13th streets. Police did not provide details, but stated that the motorcycle rider aggressively engaged two people who were driving an Audi vehicle along the roadway. According to their report, the man behind the wheel and the woman in the passenger seat did not engage in any interaction with the rider. At some point, the motorcycle rider tried to reach for the mirror of the Audi, missed, and lost control of the bike. The bike then struck a guardrail, causing the accident to occur. Police ruled the driver was not responsible for the rider’s accident.
