76 Year Old Dies in E-Bike Accident

A tragic accident took place in Upper Macungie Township when a 76-year-old man lost his life when an electric bike he was on crashed into a car. The incident happened around 11:15 a.m. near Schantz and Cetronia roads. In this case, the police are waiting for the coroner’s ruling to determine the cause of death.

As more e-bikes hit the road, there is concern about liability risks associated with them. These bikes are supposed to operate on the road, much like a traditional bike. Yet, drivers are not always familiar with how to use them, when to use them, or what steps to take when they encounter them. As with any bike accident, the details of what happened are critical.

How an Attorney Helps in These Situations

In a case like this, the only voice available is that of the vehicle driver. For the family of a lost loved one, though, having your own attorney ready and willing to fight for you is essential. When you work with an attorney, they will investigate the case, gather insight into what happened and how, based on factors such as the evidence in the roadway, witness statements, and the injuries sustained. This can bring peace of mind to victims.

For those suffering from injuries after an accident on an e-bike or family members of a person who lost their life in such an accident, our legal team is always available to help. Contact Kwartler Manus, LLC for a free consultation to discuss your options.
