According to news reports, the Winslow Township Police Department was dispatched to the area of Route 30 and Pastore Orchards around 10:55 p.m. on Saturday, June 28th, for the report of a pedestrian lying in the road. Upon arrival, the police found a man lying in the street and determined he was struck by a vehicle while he was walking on the eastbound side of the highway.

The vehicle that hit the victim remained at the scene and was cooperating with police. The victim was transported to Cooper University Hospital in Camden, where he was pronounced deceased.
