Tour Bus Catches Fire in Chester County

A tour bus recently caught on fire while traveling through Pennsylvania, according to initial police reports. Pennsylvania State Police stated that the tour bus was traveling north on Route 1 Bypass near Route 796. This incident occurred in Penn Township, Chester County.

Police initially did not know what had caused the incident, but reported that the back of the bus had caught fire. The bus driver pulled over, and everyone on board was able to exit without injury. The accident closed the roadway for over two hours due to cleanup and the investigation into what had happened.

Police did not state what they believe caused the accident. They also did not disclose the type of tour bus involved in the incident.

Victims of Fires on Buses

We do not have the details about what type of bus this was. However, for the people on it, it is critical to determine who is at fault. For example, if the bus was a rental, and the owner did not maintain it properly, the owner of the bus could be held responsible for any injuries or other losses that occur as a result.

Another incident could involve the vehicle’s manufacturing. A defect in a component used in the bus could have caused a fire. That could make the manufacturer liable for injuries and losses.
