A rear-end car crash took place on a Wednesday evening on Bethlehelm Pike/Route 309, according to police. The incident, which happened in the Colmar section of Hatfield Township, involved a red Nissan vehicle and a white Chevrolet Equinox.
Though it is still under investigation, police reported that the Nissan sustained serious front-end damage and the Chevrolet Equinox had significant rear-end damage. The incident occurred in the northbound lanes, where one vehicle came to rest on the nearby railroad tracks. Police removed the vehicle from the tracks and continued to investigate the cause of the initial accident.
There were no details about the condition of those involved other than that one person was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Rear-End Car Accidents
Rear-end car accidents often seem as if the driver behind caused them. That is the case in some situations, but not always. Sometimes, the driver in front stops suddenly, giving the other driver behind them no time to stop.
Because there are various reasons such accidents happen, police are likely to investigate the incident carefully to determine what they believe happened. However, if you are involved in such an accident and you do not believe the police have the right outcome, seek legal representation to help you.
