Bus Crashes into Parked Cars and Driver Flees

According to police, a person behind the wheel of a school bus reportedly crashed it into parked cars in Philadelphia. The accident took place at about 11 p.m. on the 5500 block of Chestnut Street in West Philadelphia.

Neighbors reported that some crashed the school bus and then got out of the vehicle and ran down the nearby alley. Police are investigating to find answers. What makes this case even more interesting is that police were not sure where the school bus came from because it had not been reported as stolen at the time. Police are asking the public for help.

Determining Fault When a Driver Flees the Scene

The law requires anyone involved in a crash to stop and provide contact information for the other party. Fleeing the scene of a crime is considered a crime. For the victim in a case like this, it can be challenging to seek damages, especially if the person is unknown. However, police will investigate and potentially find the at-fault party.

In situations where they do not, a driver with uninsured motorist coverage may be able to file a claim with their own insurance to cover losses. These cases can be complex, and recovering fair compensation is quite challenging without legal guidance.

Our car accident lawyers at Kwartler Manus have the necessary skills and resources to help victims seek fair recovery of their losses. If you were hurt in a car accident for any reason, seek the help of an experienced attorney to pursue full and fair compensation.
