Details About the Fatal Motorcycle Crash

The Philadelphia Police Department and Philadelphia Fire Department were dispatched to the area of North Front Street and East Hunting Park Avenue for the report of a motorcycle accident. Emergency personnel arrived to find a heavily damaged motorcycle and the victim on the ground along with a damaged Kia.

The victim, 55, was pronounced deceased at the scene. According to reports, the Kia had been reported stolen. All five people inside fled the scene after the crash but were apprehended shortly thereafter. Police said that all five were juveniles.

The Kia ran a red light at the intersection, striking the motorcycle as it proceeded through with the green light. Charges are still pending and the police have yet to release the identity of the victim from the motorcycle.
