A driver lost control of their vehicle along Route 42 and veered off the roadway, striking a tree in an accident on a recent Friday evening in Gloucester Township. Two people were hurt in the accident. One of those individuals was said to have serious injuries.
Information about the accident from the police says that the crash took place at 11:25 p.m. at milepost 7 on Route 42. That is when a Dodge passenger vehicle went off the right side of the road and struck a tree. The driver suffered serious injuries while the passenger had moderate injuries, according to a state police officer.
Both people were taken to the hospital for care by the Washington Township Ambulance and Rescue Association. There was no update on the condition of the other driver.
