Know the Risks on PA Roadways

It’s possible to strike a deer on a roadway at any time of the year. However, deer mating season begins in October and continues until the end of the year. During this time, deer are more active than usual, and that can mean an increased risk of darting out into the street.

These instances happen without warning. To avoid them, drivers must stay vigilant, especially between dusk and dawn during this time of the year. Doing so provides the best level of protection. The sooner you see a deer on the roadway, the more time you have to avoid them.
