Pedestrian Killed in Falls Township

A terrifying accident took place in Falls Township on a Wednesday afternoon. That is when police say a young boy was walking with several other children along West Trenton Avenue when he was struck by a car.

The Falls Township Police Department was called to the intersection of West Trenton Avenue and Valarie Road at about 1:30 p.m. This happened in the Morrisville section of the city. Upon arrival, police found a group of elementary school-aged children walking on the shoulder of the roadway. Police reported that one of the child rent into the roadway.

That is when the driver of a Mazda CX5, who was traveling west on West Trenton Avenue toward Lincoln Highway, tried but could not avoid striking the child. Police reported the child was struck by the front bumper, hit the hood of the car, and then fell onto the roadway. Luckily, the child was taken right away to Saint Mary Medical Center with minor injuries. The driver sustained no injuries. No alcohol, drugs, or medical emergencies were said to be a factor.
