A recent accident occurred when a driver lost control and crashed into a car wash. The initial information from the Elverson-Honey Brook Area EMS stated that one person had to be rescued in the car wash accident.
When crews arrived on scene, they found one person in the driver’s seat who needed to be extracted from the car. The driver was taken to the hospital for care. The accident, which involved a Subaru Outback, was caught on camera. Police have not yet released information about the accident or the driver’s condition.
Medical Emergencies in Car Accidents
There is no indication of what caused this driver to lose control of their vehicle. In many situations, medical emergencies are the direct cause, though. They happen for many reasons, including drivers having a serious heart attack or stroke. Other times, a driver may suffer a loss of mobility or control for unknown reasons.
When a driver has a medical emergency, it becomes essential for care to be available immediately. It does not mean the driver is not responsible for the injuries and losses they cause to others. The insurance company for that driver will still cover the losses. This can make cases more complex and time-consuming.
