Car Accident in Bensalem Township Leads to Downed Power Lines

News reports came in of a crash on Neshaminy Boulevard early Monday morning in Bensalem Township, Pennsylvania. Very limited information was provided about what happened or why, but the police noted that the incident caused a power outage in the area.

The crash caused power lines to come down. The Bensalem Township Fire Rescue Department stated the accident occurred close to the Neshaminy Mall and the PennDOT Center entrance. Crews warned that the area would be closed for a while and urged locals to use other routes while crews worked to make the area safe.

What You Do After an Accident Matters

There was no information provided about the vehicles involved in this accident, nor if anyone was hurt. While the fire department worked to clear the scene and protect the community, it can be critical for victims to know what to do after a crash to protect their right to compensation.

That starts with carefully documenting all aspects of the accident as soon as possible. If it is safe to do so, take photos of the accident and damage to the roadways. Capture a video showing the vehicles’ locations and any conditions contributing to the accident. Then, get medical care, even if you feel okay. Doing so helps protect you from further risk of injury.
