An incredible accident occurred on a Sunday morning in Bristol Township recently. According to the Bristol Township Police Department, a head-on collision occurred on Mill Creek Road.
Police were called to the scene of the crash near the intersection of Mill Creek Road and Orangewood Drive. The two vehicles involved included a 2016 Nissan Sentra that was operating east in the westbound lane of Mill Creek Road. The Nissan then struck the rear driver’s side of the second vehicle, a 2011 Hyundai Elantra that was traveling west in the proper lane closer to Orangewood Apartments.
After the Nissan struck the other vehicle, the driver lost control, and the vehicle hit a tree and a traffic signal. It then came to a stop. The other vehicle came to a stop near the apartment community’s parking lot. Both drivers required extraction from the vehicles by local fire departments. Both were then taken to hospitals. Their condition after the accident was unknown.
Wrong Way Driving Accidents
It is not clear why one driver was traveling against traffic. Medical emergencies, confusion by drivers, inexperience, and even poor signage could contribute to these incidents. A full investigation will provide more insight into what happened and why, but for victims, legal support is often best.
