Chester County Car Crash Ends in Embankment

A scary scene unfolded on Route 202 in Chester County on a Friday morning recently. That is when police reported that a car had crashed and landed down an embankment.

Initial information shows that the accident happened just after 11am in East Whiteland Township. That is when a car accident occurred on Route 202 between PA 29 South and the PA 401 exit. One person had to be rescued from the steep embankment. Photos showed two vehicles involved in the accident, on the side of the embankment in a wooded area. However, it is uncertain if the second vehicle was involved in this accident.

No update was provided as to what caused the accident to occur or if the injuries were extensive. Police are still investigating.

Dangerous Road Conditions in Winter

Winter can bring about some of the most dangerous road conditions in this area. Slick roads with snow and ice are not uncommon. The presence of black ice is even more challenging because it is so difficult to see. Drivers who make mistakes behind the wheel, such as overcorrecting or swerving, are more likely to suffer serious injuries, as it is far easier to lose control. Winter weather does not mean you cannot be at fault, though. If it is unsafe to drive, drivers should avoid doing so.
