Newtown Ambulance Struck by Car

The Newtown Ambulance Squad reported in a Facebook post that a unit that was returning from a call to the station was involved in an accident. According to those reports, the Newtown ambulance had damage when a car struck it, taking out the driver’s side mirror as it did.

The Facebook post claimed that the other vehicle swerved into the ambulance’s lane and struck it. The driver did not stop and sped away after the incident. The ambulance is the only four-wheeled unit the squad has available.

Hit and Run Accident Investigations

In this situation, the ambulance will be repaired, and there is no doubt that the police will continue to seek out the driver. For a victim in an accident like this, it can seem like there is no way forward, but that is not the case.

If you are involved in a hit-and-run accident, you can hire an attorney who will help investigate the accident to locate the at-fault party. In addition, if you have uninsured motorist coverage, the attorney will help you file a claim to maximize your losses.
