Police are investigating a deadly crash that took place in Middletown Township in the Levittown section on a Sunday evening. Initial reports indicate that two vehicles were involved in the collision.
Flipped Vehicle and Entrapment
Rescuers were called to the scene with a report that at least one person was trapped in the vehicle. The incident took place near Hong Luck restaurant on Veterans Highway (Route 413) at about 6:05 p.m. According to their initial investigation, a white Genesis GV80 was traveling southbound on Veterans Highway. For an unknown reason, the driver lost control of the car. The Genesis crossed into oncoming traffic in the northbound lane. That is where it struck a brown Range Rover that was traveling northbound. The force from the impact was so much that the Genesis flipped onto its roof.
Several emergency crews responded to the scene of the accident. The driver in the Genesis did not survive the accident. Neither the driver nor the passenger in the Range Rover was reportedly hurt in the accident. However, the Middletown Police Department Traffic Safety Unit is still investigating what happened.
