What Can Families Do in Complicated Cases Like This?
If your loved one is killed by a hit-and-run driver, you still have legal options. Police will continue to find the driver and, when they do, you may be able to file a claim for compensation for the death. In addition to this, it may be possible to file a claim against uninsured motorist coverage, depending on the details of the case.
Getting justice means seeking your own legal representation in many cases. Your hit and run accident attorney will have the ability to seek additional evidence and support the effort to find the at-fault party.
