Woman Killed in Crash in Overbrook

An elderly woman was killed while walking in the Overbrook section of Philadelphia. The accident happened around 5:15 pm on Friday, according to the Philadelphia Police Department. The Details of the Fatal Pedestrian Crash

The crash occurred on Friday evening in broad daylight at the intersection of 54th Street and Lancaster Avenue. A 77-year-old woman was hit at the intersection. The vehicle was traveling eastbound on Lancaster Avenue when it struck the woman. She was transported to Lankenau Medical Center, where she died an hour later from her injuries.

Witnesses said that the vehicle that hit the woman reversed down Lancaster Avenue before driving south. The vehicle then dropped a woman off at a pizza parlor in the area of 56th Street and Girard Avenue. The vehicle is described as a black Infiniti Q50 with a Delaware paper tag. Investigators want the public to know that the car has cracked molding on the front bumper and grille, hood dents, and a broken windshield.
