Details of the Double Fatal Crash
The victims were identified as John and Theresa Hawley, both 66 years old, of Marlton. Their vehicle collided with a pickup truck driven by a 21-year-old man, who suffered only minor injuries. After the two cars collided, the Hawleys’ vehicle wound up in the body of water just off the road.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation, and there has been no word on whether charges will be filed against the driver who survived. Initially, two medivac helicopters were requested to fly, but once the victims were extricated from their car, the helicopters were ordered to stand down. Both victims were pronounced deceased at the scene.
