Sad news was reported out of Lenape High School this month. According to reports, a senior student died in a car accident that took place in Hopewell Township.
The car accident caused the driver of the vehicle to die, but two other members of the Class of 2025 were also in the car and suffered injuries. Limited information was released about the identity of those involved.
Police reported that officers were called to the scene of an accident on North Route 31 at about 12:07 p.m., between Titus Mill Road and Hopewell Pennington Road. According to initial reports, a Honda Civic left the southbound lane of traffic before it struck a truck in a head-on collision. The students were in the Civic at the time of the accident. The crash is being investigated, and the underlying cause remains unclear.
