Truck Hits Cherry Hill Apartment Building

A moving truck crashed into an apartment building in Cherry Hill, New Jersey, on a recent mid-day. The incident caused a gas leak throughout the building.

According to police reports, the accident occurred when a moving truck struck a South Jersey apartment building called the Burroughs Mills Apartment. The impact caused damage to the building’s siding and struck a gas line. Residents had to be evacuated from the area while emergency crews worked to secure it.

The driver of the moving truck was facing charges, including simple assault charges, and causing widespread risk of injury. About 21 people were in the building at the time of the accident, though there were no reports of injuries. The individuals were displaced while teams worked to repair the area. There was no official word on what caused the driver to strike the building. Police are continuing to investigate.
