Mayfair Accident Injures Two

A multi-vehicle crash in the Mayfair section of Philadelphia injured two people on the morning of Monday, February 19. Call an experienced Philadelphia car accident attorney from Kwartler Manus if you or a loved one suffers an injury in a car accident.

Details on The Mayfair Car Crash

The accident happened at the intersection of Levick Street and Frankford Avenue, which is controlled by a traffic signal.

According to the Philadelphia Police Department, one of the vehicles ran a red light, leading to the accident.

One of the vehicles hit a light pole head on after being involved in the crash. The two people injured suffered minor injuries. There were delays in the area for up to one hour while crews worked to clear the scene of the damaged vehicles.

The Dangers of Intersections

Intersections, no matter how they are controlled, can be quite dangerous. Traffic lights and stop signs can only do so much when protecting drivers, pedestrians, bicyclists and motorcyclists.

Count to three before entering an intersection after a traffic light turns green or after coming to a complete stop at a stop sign. These extra seconds can make all the difference in avoiding an accident with a driver who runs a red light or blows through a stop sign.

As always, talk to an attorney when injured in a car accident.
